Interpreting modern justice in an agricultural community

In the midst of the recession, the State wanted to develop a court building with a lean budget that met the needs of the community as an example for other regions to follow. With our budget being cut twice in the process, we worked closely with the judges, community, County, and State representatives to design a building that met their requirements and served as an icon in the community. The resulting facility features high windows for natural light, clean lines, a natural flow for public access, and a custom tile pattern reflecting the grid of fields and agriculture in the central valley.
