Martha Riley Community Library and Utility Exploration Center

Roseville, California

Mahany Regional Park

This 32,600 sq. ft., two-story branch library was designed to create an engaging, energetic learning environment as well as to complement the existing, adjacent sports complex. The City also wanted it to be economical to build and maintain, to serve as a practical model for Roseville’s sustainable building practices. Serving the public and the adjacent high school, the library houses a public access studio, utility exploration center, information systems recovery site, and an emergency operation center. The accompanying grounds include demonstration gardens, courtyards, water features, and covered walks.
